New York City

2020-Present

Since 2020, I have been working as a versatile freelance dancer and artist in New York City, an experience that has profoundly enriched my understanding of movement. Immersing myself in the rich history of dance and exploring the various companies and styles that emerge from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds has been truly enlightening. This vibrant city serves as a catalyst for individual empowerment, allowing each person to express their beliefs and creativity freely—whether through performance, art, or entrepreneurship. I am grateful to be part of such a dynamic environment that fosters innovation and celebrates diversity in all its forms.

I have come to realize that life itself is a form of dance — a reflection of our surroundings, emotions, and the way we navigate our experiences. This understanding has deepened my connection to my roots, including my country, culture, and traditions. I believe that stepping away from my past allowed me to reconnect with it from a fresh perspective, fostering a sense of positivity and appreciation for my journey. This transformative insight continues to shape both my artistry and my approach to life.

Since 2020, I have had the privilege of collaborating with Valerie Green Dance Entropy on the international dance project "HOME," which featured choreographers from six countries and premiered at Gibney Dance Center in September 2022. Additionally, I performed with SarAika Collective as a dancer in their “L Train” piece all across New York City. I also performed with SandSilk Dance under Elisabetta Minutoli in "Antigone," showcasing our work at various venues and during a two-week residency in Cape Charles, Virginia.

I had the privilege of collaborating closely with Brice Mousett from 2022 to 2024. I assisted him in his classes and contributed to his creative process at the Peridance Center during the summer of 2022. Additionally, I served as his assistant while working with Ailey certificate students in 2023. This experience has taught me to think quickly, embrace change, lead with confidence, and remain attuned to my surroundings.

In the summer of 2023, I made my debut as a performer in the opera production "The Love for Three Oranges" at Des Moines Met Opera, directed by Chas Rader-Shieber and choreographed by Isaac Martin Lerner. I am committed to continually evolving my movement style and actively contribute by assisting Brice Mousset at Peridance Center, where I had the honor of supporting the creation process with students from the Alvin Ailey School in 2023.

Moreover, I collaborated with artists A Young Yu and Nicholas Oh on their 2023 show "Offering of Dreams" at Recess Art Studio.

Recently, I was selected as a dancer for the Dance Lab Fall Cycle 2023 in New York, where I had the opportunity to work with esteemed choreographers Mark Caserta, Lauren Edson, and Roderick George on a three weeks creation process.

My ongoing work as a dancer and a collaborator is at Rovaco Dance Company with Rohan Bhargava, MeenMoves Dance Company with Sameena Mitta and recent hire is with HT Chen & Dancers and with The Moving Architects.

I am excited about the journey that lies ahead as I embrace my roles as a wife, dancer, performer, teacher, and creator. Each experience offers a unique opportunity for growth and exploration, and I look forward to uncovering new layers of inspiration and creativity. With an open heart and a determined spirit, I am ready to embrace the challenges and triumphs that will shape my path, knowing that each step will contribute to a richer, more fulfilling life.
